Sanctuary Cap Cana, the adults-only, all-inclusive resort in Punta Cana, is wrapping up a $35 million renovation.
The resort is currently open, but an official grand reopening is planned for January. The renovation includes renovated guest rooms and enhanced public spaces, plus the launch in January of two new towers.
The resort's Spanish-colonial style has a new interior concept: The color scheme is petrol blue, off-white, gold, and black which now complement the lobby's magnum Selenite salt crystal 18-foot chandelier.
Guests can also expect changes to the resort's Villa Collection accommodations, starting with a remodeling of the reception to include a VIP area. Each villa will have its own private swimming pool.
The two new towers will bring an additional 140 suites to the property; each suite will be decorated with light wood, soft neutral tones, and light blues, and floor-to-ceiling headboards will be covered in textured fabric with gilded gold floral accents. The oceanfront buildings will have 70 suites each, in two categories: luxury junior suite and premium luxury junior suite. Both will have soundproof walls and hydrotherapy tubs with color-therapy options.
