The Goodman Library, a historical building in downtown Napa, saw large stones fall from its facade. Many of the older buildings in the downtown area had not been retrofitted to withstand stronger earthquakes.

Television news crews were crowded around this brick structure in downtown Napa that saw some of the most dramatic damage due to Sunday morning's earthquake. As of Monday, 70 buildings in the city of Napa were declared uninhabitable due to damage from the quake.

Tourists and locals strolled around downtown Napa on Monday, taking in the damage the historic city center sustained.

Retail stores such as this cigar shop along Napa's First Street were boarded up and closed on Monday as shop owners assessed the quake damage.

Oxbow Cheese and Wine inside the Oxbow Public Market in Napa was closed on Monday due to maintenance and cleanup following Sunday morning's 6.0 earthquake in Napa.

Meanwhile, Napa's newer riverfront area saw little to no damage from the quake and was completely open on Monday.

In downtown Sonoma there were little to no signs that a major earthquake had struck nearby.

In the city of Yountville in Napa Valley, it was business as usual on Monday.

While downtown Napa suffered, the effects were virtually unnoticeable in much of the surrounding vine-covered rolling hills and wineries that Napa Valley and Sonoma are famous for.
